David & Kirsten

Oh what a pleasure it was to photograph this darling wedding! David, a Texan and Kirsten, a local girl, overcame the impossible and after nearly 2 years of long distance they tied the knot in Franschoek.
David, and his Band of Brothers, looked like folk heroes in brown suits and leather shoes. And we were witness to the coolest grooms party gift ever, when David gave his boys pocket-watches. Don't tell us that ain't pure cool!
It was a feast and a celebration of love, and more importantly - His love. Good wine (and Beer) and loads of laughter! Thank you friends, for a super wedding, we feel so blessed to have been a part of it! x

ReplyDeleteI've been admiring the posted pictures and stories for some time now - and I have to tell you, this one here has been my absolute favourite of all! sure, every new wedding you share makes my fave list, but this one just has that extra dash of magical about it :) it could be the lovely, natural surroundings in which the wedding took place, that a 2-yr long distance relationship lead up to such a beautiful occasion, but certainly being able to capture the events of the day in the way that you do - i'm sure added to the magic. keep up the great work, and thanks to all the couples for allowing you to share it with others!
ReplyDeletewhat a lovely wedding and beautiful photographs to sum it all up! stunning! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for the encouragement Dizzy. You are right, this wedding was special for all those reasons. But there is an even greater, and more awesome reason, the biggest "WHY"? Jesus. He is the reason they lasted over such a great distance for so long. He is the reason you see genuine joy and celebration from everyone at this wedding. It's very special to see.
ReplyDeleteI simply love this photoshoot! Absolutely gorgeous couple, absolutely gorgeous photographs! You guys are most definitely hired for the day I get married, when I get married! Still waiting for him to pop the question :)
