We had the pleasure of shooting our second wedding at beautiful Oranje Farm, just outside the quaint little village of Clarens. Only this time it was in Autumn and the colours were mind blowing!
Nick, an award-winning writer, and Jenine, an established theatre-maker are awesome and bubbly people and this reflected in their wedding. From her bright red shoes and cute pink Tutu-style dress to the bunting flags to the Jeep that she arrived in - this was one celebration we were thrilled to be a part of!

little pink book

welovepictures decided it's time for some good ol' advertising, hence the face-lift and re-branding. Up until now most of our work has come via our website or word of mouth from bragging-bubbly-brides via our awesome father.

But when the Little Pink Book contacted us, we thought it can't hurt to give it a go... especially with us relocating to the Cape and all :)

The Little Pink Book is really actually quite super cute. It is small enough to fit into a handbag and filled with tons of awesome info - not the usual corny wedding-ish stuff! Otherwise we wouldn't be in it :P It's handy for making notes, re-scribbling budgets and then of course everything a bride might need to know to plan her day.

The Western Cape and Gauteng 2010/11 issues will be on sale from September and you can buy a copy directly from their site or from Kalahari, Exclusive Books and even Woolies too. Pretty nifty hey? We thought so too.

P.S Note it says Cape Town in the bottom right. Exciting stuff :)

We have been really bad with updating our blog with new work in the last few months. We photographed these guys in April - and only 3 months later do we get the chance to post about their wedding! Shocking. Although Maike did a Sneak Peak on her blog, De Wet and Jonet definitely deserve a full-on welovepictures post :)
To be fair, we've been heads down with deadlines, organizing our own wedding and looking for our huisie by die see... But even so, not very cool of us - apologies friends. Especially to awesome Jonet & De Wet who we're sure have been waiting for us to blog about them. weloveyouguys. Sorry it's so late! x

Warm Up Shoot: Marco & Lydia

We are photographing Marco & Lydia's wedding in December and they needed some awesome pictures for their invite.
Of course the obvious thing to do is to find a beautiful little forest area, build a tepee with some vintage fabric and wrap some cute bunting around it and then put the super cute and good-looking couple inside and tell them to forget about you.
Voila!
